Suffolk House Bed and Breakfast is a 4 1/2 star Canada Select retreat located on the shore of Antler Lake in Strathcona County. The property, situated on the lakeshore, boasts a panoramic view of Antler Lake, and is fifteen minutes away from Sherwood Park and twenty-five minutes from Edmonton on good highway.

Strathcona County is the fourth largest municipality in Alberta and home to 65,349 residents. It boasts some beautiful natural areas and outdoor activities. There are opportunities to view birds and wildlife at a number of locations in and around Strathcona County.

Strathcona County is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts regardless of the season and preferred activity. Sherwood Park is a fifteen-minute drive away and has many joint cycle/jogging paths available for the visitor's use. As well, there are several golf courses within close proximity to choose from. Sailing, hiking, skating (both indoor and outdoor), and horseback riding are just a few activities that are available to visitors. Close proximity to Elk Island National Park provides an opportunity to view Bison in their natural habitat, walk along the nature trails, or simply enjoy a picnic or barbeque. There is also a very good nine-hole golf course located within the park grounds. The Strathcona Wilderness Centre and the Ukrainian Cultural Centre are just a short distance away.

Sherwood Park hosts many cultural events at Festival Place and tickets for these events are available through Ticket Master. Two colourful Farmer's Markets are also held on Wednesday evenings, outdoors in the summer months and indoors during the winter.

There are also several summer festivities to enjoy. From the annual Trade Show held in April of each year, Medieval Days in June, Canada Day Celebrations in July, the Birkenbinder in February, etc. As well, Strathcona County is home to Millennium Place, a multi purpose recreation facility that hosts many sports tournaments.

Strathcona County has hosted the 2000 Alberta Winter Games; the IAAF 2001 World Championships in Athletics.
