The following is a brief background introduction to Sheila Smyth, Marriage Commissioner, licensed to practice in Alberta.
Born in Hadleigh, Suffolk, England on June 17, 1948. I married Alan on June 7, 1969 in Hadleigh; we have two daughters.
I was licensed as a Marriage Commissioner on October 28, 2005. I am self employed and own and operate A Suffolk House Bed and Breakfast, located fifteen minutes east of Sherwood Park.
I have lived on three continents and bring a good experience of human relation skills, excellent organizational skills, and considerable life experiences to this position.
I am honoured to be appointed as a Marriage Commissioner and it is my solemn commitment to provide the best service possible to couples wishing to be married in Alberta. In addition to commissioning marriages I can perform renewal of vows and naming ceremonies.
